Stern Bild City is home to people called NEXT, superheroes with abilities who protect the people by solving cases and saving lives. They wear sponsor logos and acquire hero points to build their reputation, and their activities are documented on the program “Hero TV.” The veteran hero Wild Tiger has a disappointing season, and is teamed up with rookie Barnaby Barnes Jr. “Bunny”, who has different ideas on what being a superhero is.
